RECOMMENDED USE GUIDELINES

How to get the best results from your images

We want you to be completely satisfied with your Heads Up hanger. To help us provide you with the best possible results, please take the time to read these guidelines before submitting your image to our USA or UK production facility. Poor quality images will result in disappointing results.
The BEST ADVICE we can give you is plain and simple! The better the image quality, the happier you’ll be with your hanger.

What to wear in your photo

LESS IS MORE, PLAIN AND SIMPLE
Have a look at the images above, note in the two smaller images our model is wearing a vest top. This ensures the clothes she’s wearing in her photo don’t show once her chosen garment is placed over her printed hanger (main image). Best results are achieved with minimal clothing around your neckline. Ideally, strapless garments for ladies and no top for men will achieve optimum results for your Heads Up hanger.

Composing your image

GET CLOSE IN AND STAND SQUARE ON
For best results get close to your subject and stand ‘square on’ to the camera. Take the photograph against a PLAIN or light colored background. If you choose to wear a T shirt, plain colors are best. At risk of repeating ourselves, remember.. If clothes appear in your image, they WILL BE printed on your hanger!

Picture quality & resolution

QUALITY IMAGES MEAN GREAT HANGERS
Take a look at these close up images. The left hand image is clearly sharper than the right hand image, this is due to digital image resolution, or dpi. If we consider the image uploaded to be unsuitable for production we will notify you via email. Smartphone and tablet cameras generally produce great results. However, ask someone else to take your picture using the camera on the back of your device which is generally 4 x better than the smaller ‘selfie’ lens on the front of the device. Images from web cams are generally poor quality and should be avoided.

Uploading from your computer

ADVICE ON UPLOADING IMAGES
You may decide to upload existing images from your computer, or source one from the internet. When uploading images from your computer the same advice applies regarding digital image resolution (see opposite) poor quality images will result in a bad user experience. If sourcing images from the internet, it is your responsibility to ensure you have the necessary image rights and you’re not breaking any laws, or copyright infringement restrictions. Please see article 4.1 on our standard terms of use.
